Let me share with you how I find the practice of the real estate profession something that gives me so much satisfaction and joy. For one, it simply interests me. Just by the thought of it gives me real excitement. Somehow, there are things in life that we purely enjoy doing without having to explain why. Perhaps, these are things that tell us of what and who we are — our values, strengths, capabilities, and of our yardstick for success. The sense of achievement, for me, lies not so much on merely closing a sale, but more of being able to assist someone in achieving a dream; A dream of making a good investment through real estate. As the quote states: “I think a lot of times it’s not money that’s the primary motivation factor; it’s the passion for your job and the professional and personal satisfaction that you get out of doing what you do that motivates you.”- Martin Yan
About two weeks ago, I was able to close a sale with a friend (a former officemate) who bought a furnished condo unit in Bamboo Bay Resort Community by Contempo Property Holdings; and, I was absolutely thrilled by it. Primarily because I know she made a good decision. In fact, if I were to buy one, I would have to buy from Bamboo Bay as well. Moreover, the idea that I am able to offer a property, that I am likewise into it, is really fascinating.
Of course, it is a must for brokers and other real estate practitioners to do a separate site tour prior to bringing clients over to see the model units or showroom, to ensure that we have better understanding of what we are offering them. In this instance, I did a site visit (with my mom) to the marketing showroom more than just doing the protocol. It was because I personally would like to see how the units look like since I heard so many positive feedback about the project. We got in the showroom and were greeted by their staff who showed us around. First impression – I like it there. I feel my heart pumping fast that it was almost palpable, so I think. The features of each unit type, the amenities that will go with the entire gated community plus the accessibility of its location have been impressive. Right at that very moment, I know I will have to offer this to others as I have so much belief on the benefits it can give to future owners of these condo units. True indeed, soon after, I met Grace (the friend I mentioned earlier) and we had a chitchat until she asked me what keeps me busy nowadays. So, I told her about what I am currently doing and without a minute of thinking I shared with her about Bamboo Bay. Right at that moment, she exclaimed “I’m interested!” It was amazing to hear from her such a remark as I wasn’t doing a sales call or anything at all. Well I guess, when two people have something in common — seeing real estate as a good investment, a great conversation had been sparked all at once. Grace who is interested of buying a property as a means of investing did not delay her plans. We checked out the showroom and the day after that she reserved for a unit.
Things like these give me so much joy. I see circumstances and situations such as these not as coincidences, not at all. Well the law of attraction is manifesting.
